Harry Wright

Harry Wright is a qualified lawyer and a climate change/biodiversity expert. After a prestigious career in the city as a corporate lawyer, Harry set up his own company, Bright Tide Ltd (www.bright-tide.co.uk), to advise private sector companies on climate change/biodiversity risk and opportunities.

About Harry

Through Bright Tide, Harry has worked with leading corporations such as EY, Investec, Deloitte, The Crown Estate and Hogan Lovells and has recently launched the Blue Economy Ocean Accelerator Programme to connect leading corporations with ocean innovators around the world. Harry is also the founder of the environmental charity The Conservation Project International and an executive board member of the United Nations Westminster Association.

Harry’s passion for conservation was ignited at a young age when he moved to Australia. Fascinated by reptiles, he dreamt of becoming a herpetologist like his hero Steve Irwin.

Harry studied law and practised in the private sector for ten years. It was there he saw the potential to harness the ingenuity and resources of the private sector to help solve global conservation issues, inspiring him to launch Bright Tide.

Harry has extensive knowledge of conservation issues, international law and social entrepreneurship, regularly giving lectures and leading workshops for both the private and education sectors.
